Doesn't recognize new graphics card

I had an Alienware X51 (R1) and I just gotten a new case, power supply, and graphics card (NVIDIA 970) and I just moved everything into that case. I believe I inserted the graphics card correctly. It definitely has power and I think it is correctly in the PCI slot. When I try to install the driver, it says it cannot find the card. It also isn't listed in Device Manager. The card was sent to me by a friend who has the same motherboard as me so there shouldn't be a problem there. In the BIOS, I changed the primary display to discrete. My monitor is plugged into my motherboard currently because nothing displays if I plug it into my graphics card. If you need any more info, let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind, turns out it wasn't in the PCI slot the whole way.
