Apple and Google finally breaking the wintel monopoly and what do we get? Same old fanboys and the Aesop's fable The Fox and the Grapes still holds true.

Tim Cook expertise was in running the business operations - logistics, supply chain, sales distribution. These are very important in any big international companies. TC and SJ supplement each other. Just like Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. TC has to find someone truly competent in technology to replace SJ. And so should Steve Ballmer.

This guy left Apple before 2006! He states that Tim Cook kept to himself and wasn't a people person and yet this Ass Jack can at the time time back this bold claim that Tim Cook is light on technology? Come on, this guy is obviously looking for something to gain him attention. He has also been a realtor since his time at Apple. well folks real estate has gone south as we all know, and David Sobotta is looking for a new career.

You "anit-iSheep" are enslaved and don't realize it, you seem to live to bash apple and you will believe just about anything that sheds a bad light on Apple without ever checking anything out - Just do a freakin google search on this Ass Jack and read about him, pretty clear.

Apple is not Overpriced.

Calculate each part of their hardware and compare to other products you will find them even lower priced.

Apple doesnt make "cheap" quality products. thats a fact.

their cases alone are worth like 400$

[citation][nom]hasten[/nom]Keep drinking the kool aid. Please explain the profit margins then. If you had any business education you would know what you are saying contradicts itself.[/citation]

I'm not sure you have any at all to be honest. Their *gross* margins are around 42%, depending on the device. But their *net* profit is around 22%. That's a big pile of money spent on things like R&D, customer service, prompt updates/upgrades, cost of their brick and mortar stores etc.

If there is a good margin, then you don't have to skimp on support or updates. Like everyone else in the tech industry does. John Browette wanted to act like the other tech companies. He's unemployed now, and Apple customers still get the best support in the industry.

HP sells what? 5 bazillion computers a year? And they aren't making any money at it. Their machines are uninspired, and their customer service sucks. That's one of the casualties when you race to the bottom. You would have thought the Android OEMs would have learned that lesson. But they didn't. They are repeating the same old mistakes.

You can see this is true, otherwise, the iphone 5 wouldn't feel as cheap as it does or look as cheap as it does, in comparison to the iphone 4. Iphone 4 was the best phone they've put out imho. It's ironic, since Jobs died the iphone has lost it style points IMHO. 4s was same as 4 , with inclusion of Siri. 5 was nice feature upgrade , they kept the 4 shape, but they made it way too light and the materials simply feel and look cheap compared to the 4/4s. My GF who knows nothing about Apple, wanted to get a new phone, she was looking at 4s and 5, and she thought the 4s was the newer one.
