Computer Specs:

Graphics: Graphics SAMSUNG (1920x1080@60Hz), Intel HD Graphics 4600 (MSI)

Storage: 111GB Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB (SSD)

Optical Drives: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224FB

Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 (MS-7817) (SOCKET 0)

RAM: 8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz (11-11-11-28)

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Basically my computer started freezing ever since i updated league of legends one day it just froze as soon as i entered the game. There artifacts and it makes a loud buzzing sound. The fans are really noisy pretty much as soon as i turn on the PC. Now it freezes for basic tasks but much more easily on HD videos etc. My CPU also skyrockets to 100% for really basic tasks and I'm not sure why. If i buy a graphics card will this solve the problem? Or is it a bigger issue than just that now.

In CPU-Z it's saying that the value under 800Mhz JETEC #6 is 1.5V
In hwinfo its saying Total DRAM POWER current : 0.951W min: 0.870W max: 1.693W average: 1W

i'll have a think about this . like you have said it's extremely rare for the igpu to go bad and for the cpu to still function.

i know that i would try things in this order :
1) check to make sure the stock fan is running
2) running in safe mode and trying a virus/malware scan ( not for the reason of looking for anything but to ask the cpu to do some work ) and check the temps if possible .
3) check the motherboard for bent pins and replace the thermal paste ( if the above still has the issues)
4) try a different operating system. seen a lot of threads where people have issues with windows that don't appear under other operating systems (not naming any o/s because i am not being paid for advertising) 😛

Just wondering how i'd access the bios on this motherboard when the keyboard doesn't connect until the login screen page. I know i need to click del but obviously this issue is stopping me.

are you able to download ? i am guessing so as you have cpu-z

download this if you can

http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/FastBoot_mb_1.0.1.9.zip

if you can install and run this - you can ask it to go to bios without having to press anything on the keyboard.

edit: once installed and you have it open click on "GO2BIOS>" and your system will reboot and open bios

download ,install ,run
click the gotobios button

Your dram volategs btw ,I cant make head or tail of them 🙁 they look like faulty reading really.
If you do get into bios then set dram manually from auto to 1.5v

Make sure your keyboard / or mouse are plugged into usb 2 ports not usb 3 for bios use.

😀 copy cat 😀 ha! good tip about the usb though - never thought about that .

Got into bios fine, and i'm assuming i'm on the right page cuz i see DRAM voltage, but it says its on auto and is not allowing to manually change this, do i need to change something else in order to change it?
I'll put an image below with what i see:
BIOS image

Thanks for the help aswell :)

changed DRAM timing mode to link, i still can't edit the dram voltage

Try advanced dram configuration mate , voltage setting may be in there.
Otherwise may not be possible to change it.

While you're in there , there is an adjust gt ratio option.
This as far as I see is for the igp.
If you change from auto what option do you get shown??

It may be able to down clock if percentages are shown.

Would be a good way to ascertain if it is actually the igp that has failed at higher clock speeds.

Checked and it won't let me adjust the GT ratio option. Also i've never downclocked before so i don't know how to do that. And I'll put an image below of the advanced dram configuration in BIOS
