If you are talking about the last boss, you HAVE to use the soul cube to hurt
it.

You have to kill the three floating things that come out of him, then
when you do a portal will appear over the monster. Shoot the portal
until it disappears, then repeat the process. I believe it takes around
3 to 5 cycles(depending on what weapon you are using).

My Exorsict 301 instructor tells me that this kind can only be destroyed
with prayer and fasting.
