Once I put the file into the /base folder, how do I run it?

P.S. I've never successfully played multiplayer either 🙁

Did you read the documentation/help/readme file that came with it?

Gee, what a surprise.

Sigh.

Don't put the .pk4 file in the /base folder, that's just ASKING to have
your vanilla Doom messed with (it will screw up any multiplayer too)

Instead, create a folder in the /Doom3 directory with a name you can
easily place with the mod (ie. if it's a gravity gun mod, call it
gravgun, if it's a map, use the mapname)

Then put any files that came with the mod in that folder (.pk4,
description.txt, etc.)

Open up Doom3, go to the Mods menu, and select the mod you wish to run
(either double-click or select and click Ok)

Your mod should now load (may or may not have a new main menu)

If the mod is just a map, the main menu will likely be the same, and you
will have to start the map via the console.

So bring down the console (CTRL+ALT+TILDE on US keyboards, I believe
it's CTRL+ALT+` on Non-US keyboards; tilde is the ~ key) and type:

dir maps

You should see some stuff that pertains to the map you want to run (like
obihb1.map, obihb1.proc, obihb1.aas, etc.)

To run map XXX.map, type:

map XXX

That's it. Your map should load and you should be a' rocking and a' rollin.

As in you can't play multi or it bites?

I know MP on Doom3 isn't brilliant, but I like a DM here and there (and
especially now that LMS is out, playing Co-op maps on that)

If you can't play multiplayer, make sure you have the 1.1 patch
(http://www.doom3.com) and that you have a valid CD-Key (not one from a
keygen :eyeroll:)

If you're on a connection < broadband, don't even dream about it.
