Hey guys, second time I've posted this, the first one "disappeared",
I need to boot from a DOS floppy (to flash my BIOS) and access files on my
NTFS C:\ Partition. Unfortunately the OS (DOS) states bad command/file name
whenever I try typing c:. Any ideas at all would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Damo

Stop trying to use C.

Go to www.bootdisk.com and download a Windows 98 boot diskette and create
one. Then copy your new BIOS and flashing application to the diskette.
Boot from it, flash your BIOS, reboot, move on.

DOS does not support NTFS file system, hence reason you cannot access your C
drive and therefore cannot access any files on your C drive.

There is some "device driver type addon" around (name escapes me) that
allows DOS to "see" NTFS partitions but have no idea how well it works.

There's neither need nor reason to access the hard drive's NTFS
partition while flashing the BIOS. Everything you need should be on the
boot diskette, if you followed the motherboard manufacturer's
instructions completely.
