hi im building my first rig and i will be playing mainly dota2,maybe some light nba2k14,fifa,prototype1/2,borderlands2, etc.

Im choosing between a6-6400k vs g1620+gt610 ddr3 64bit. Which of these two run dota 2 better on low/mid setting vsync off.

I want it to be upgradble. If i go with amd i can upgrade with a10 richland or kaveri.
And if intel i can go i3 or i5 down the road

IM a hardcore dota player myself im getting the specs mentioned in my signature for dota 😀 but currently im using a laptop with i5 processor 4 gb ram and 6xxxm series card which i thought would perform well but apparently all i had was trouble the specs mentioned in the dota 2 requirements is a total hoax trust me i suggest you to get better specs...
without question g1620 is a beast for his price you could even play all the modern games with it in 1920X1080 with a good gpu. g1620 is socket 1155 that means if you have more money in the future and you want to upgrade you only swap the cpu and hook in a i3 or i5 easy. and do not buy a gpu with gddr3, it sucks. get hd 7750 is the cheapest gddr5 card that can make you play all the games with that cpu. all that i say it is tested by me. take note that i played crysis 3 and bf 4 with g1620 and hd 7750 in 1920X1080 med settings.
