Question doubt acessory case hdd

because I don't know the correct place to install these pads, there is no manual, it's a pad with a line in the middle

on top it damages the HDD sticker, underneath there is the PCB

Stick it in the middle.
If you have only one of those stickers, then use it to protect pcb side.

I only have one sponge but it has a cutout to divide it into two

Do you need padding on both sides? Unknown.
Do you need padding on only one side? Unknown.
Do you need any padding at all? Unknown.
Is the inside of the case metal or plastic? Unknown.

It's meant to reduce vibrations and protect pcb from potential short.

You're making way more problems out of it, than necessary.
Stick those pads in the middle of hdd and be done with it.
Do not cover any holes.

I contacted Seagate and they said there was no problem using this aluminum case.
