CR2032 battery mounted on electronic board and stored does it run the risk of leaking at some point even after discharging and ruining the board through some corrosive compound that it releases?

It doesn't break down like that, can't gauge one by the other. Sulfuric acid is H2SO4, hydrogen, sulfer and oxygen, none of which are corrosive, but that particular combination is highly corrosive acid. Just as the gunk in that battery is lithium, mangenese and oxygen molecules.

This is all a garbage point anyway. Take out the battery, store your stuff, replace the battery. That's just common sense, batteries are cheap and designed to be replaced.
