[SOLVED] Doubts on hdd

I have rig where a need to have max storage possible all parts assembled just missing the hdd, so I have 2 dell perc h310 with SFF-8087 cables, my problem is that the best ratio tb/€ new are Sas drives like https://www.mbit.pt/seagate-exos-x16-16-tb-festplatte-2, I can find cheaper but are nas drives that won't work with my perc h310, sata drives cost more. Not sure what to do, buy Sas drives and use a Sas to sata adapter (if this are reliable) like this [https://m.pt.aliexpress.com/item/4001166047333.html or have to spend more and just buy sata drives, not really a fan of buy used materials and in my country can't find any good deals on used.

It doesn't work that way.
SAS drive requires SAS controller. Those things are expensive.

SATA drives may be plugged on a SAS Controller
SAS Drives cannot be plugged into SATA controllers. They will need SAS controllers

I have a feeling, is this for a chia mining setup by any chance?

You cannot just use the "adapter" you've linked alone.

Explanation:
SAS and SATA use different signaling voltages. Using SATA drive on a SAS backplane will function but the opposite will not, as a consequence of the voltage ranges.
There are signaling voltage differences between a SAS drive and a SATA drive.

This is why in your case, yes you need the Dell perc h310 to connect your SAS drive.
Motherboard -> Dell perc h310 (connect it to the PCI-E slot) -> SFF 8087 Cable -> SAS Drive

I would have a go at amazon and see if you can find SAS drives that can fit your budget, given that SATA drives are expensive for you. I don't think Hard drive prices have skyrocketed, not much demand from hard disk drive mining. You can watchlist these and see if the price drops over time (sometimes they go on sale).

OK, the way I explained it first may be confusing. I have the sff 8087 with sata ends so sta drives is just plug in and ready, but sata drives are more expensive so instead I was looking at Sas drives since the perc h310 work with to. The adapter was only to use with the sff 8078 that I already have if it was possible. I will get a new cable if need to use the Sas drives SFF-8087 to 4x SAS/SFF-8482 I guess.
