Downgrade pre-installed windows 10 to windows 7

I have a client who would rather have Windows 7 OS over Windows 10 due to software compatibility. The laptop I purchased for him was a Lenovo yoga 900 which I will be getting in the mail shortly. Before start working on it I wanted to see if anyone had any issues with installing a different OS on a 6th gen i7 processor with Win10 pre-installed.

I removed Win8 on another clients Desktop changing to Win7 and I had to turn off some things in the bios I just don't know if there is going to be any major issues doing it with Win10 (Other then the loss in performance ect ect ect I know Win10 is better)

Just to recap, your fear is that it's going to be difficult to uninstall Win10 from the laptop and install Windows 7 instead? Or is it that your client will want to downgrade instead of installing Win7 over Win10?

uninstall Win10 from the laptop and install Windows 7 instead.

I looked at the device driver page and it only has win10 compatable driver software idk if that will be a issue or not

I attempted to make a windows 7 usb boot however I get a screen indicating that the system can't load any drivers. Anyone have any ideas? I turned off most of the stuff in the bios but it doesn't recognize the usb 3.0 yet it loads the windows 7 install...

I was wondering if you able were to get Windows 7 to work on the laptop? I have the same situation where I want to install Windows 7 but I haven't tried anything yet. The biggest concern I have is not seeing anything but Windows 10 drivers on Lenovo's support site.

Why don't you give it a try and then see if it works? Worst case scenario, you reinstall Windows 10.
