I have installed the Nvidia app (GeForce Experience as it used to be called) so i could record my gameplay and noticed that now Valorant looks different. It is not as dark as it used to be, its more brighter and its easier to see stuff. The maps in Valorant are a lot brighter and ive also noticed that the game is more resposive.. like theres less input lag. Ive also tested this in cs, but cs2 seems to be fine, the maps look the same as before.

Can someone tell me what has happened, why has the look of the maps changed ?

GPU is an Asus 4070 Super.

Change the settings in GeForce Experience. I suggest you upgrade to the App. In the App, choose Graphics from the left-side menu, and then choose your game, on the right side you'll see In-Game Settings that you can change

I have the app. I'm saying it was replaced by the old one which was GeForce Experience.

The app must have changed something because Valorant looks way different now and it's not the game settings going from low to high, I don't know what it is.

The app has the ability to change settings. When it is installed there is an automatic option or a manual option for what it calls optimised settings. This will change in game graphics settings to what it thinks are best for your card.

I personally have this turned off as it can turn on some settings that you may not want eg Red Dead 2 it tries to max everything out with DLSS turned on but I prefer a custom setup with higher fps.

Regarding it being brighter then it may be that some lighting effects being utilised that weren't before.

If you go into the app, click on the game in question and it will tell you if it is using optimised settings or not.
