I know you're not being difficult on purpose but I don't have a magic wand either. ;)

If you're comfortable swapping the motherboard then that 's a reasonable next step. Sometimes the only way to isolate a hardware problem is by swapping components.

Do be aware that if you change the motherboard you WILL need to do a clean install of Windows. During the install process Windows configures itself for the hardware platform it's going on, so if you change the motherboard a reinstall will be a must - otherwise you risk introducing new BSODs....
