Hey y'all, so I had a RAM question lately as I was choosing to buy new RAM soon. When I first built my computer (about a year and a half ago) when choosing RAM, I just went for the cheapest 8gb ddr4 RAM, purchased, etc. I was looking for that same 8gb kit and instead found a very similar version but for nearly $20 less. I noticed the difference between mine and the one I was looking at was that mine is a duel ranked module, and the $35 version is a single ranked module. So I got two questions:
1. Can I mix the SR ram with the DR ram with it being identical aside from being different ranks, will it effect performance or cause issues?
2. What exactly is the difference between SR and DR RAM?
As for the ram:
Mine (DR): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UFBZOVE/?tag=pcpapi-20
Cheaper version (SR): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7STFAJ/?tag=pcpapi-20
Thanks for the help.
