Hey guys,

I built a new computer ASUS MB X670E-F Wifi, Ryzen 7000 series CPU and 2 Corsair DDR5 Ram sticks (X2 32GB), windows boot drive is on a Corsair M.2 SSD. MB Bios on latest BIOS Version. Same as all other components on PC.

My only problem is every time I power on the PC, the MB QLED goes Orange (DRAM) for about 65-70 seconds then almost instantly goes into Windows after the Orange QLED turns off. Which means Boot time is about 70-80 seconds, high waiting time considering the components and its a brand new build about 10 days old. Been doing this since day one. All components were brand new unpacked on same time as build so def not dirty/dusty/damaged.

I tried to:
Resit the RAM. Ensured the Bios sees both RAM sticks and the speed corresponds what the actual speed should be.
Tried to boot only with one RAM Stick as oppose to two.
All drivers up to date including BIOS & Windows.
BIOS: Fast Boot is enabled.
Windows: Startup apps are all disabled.
Triple and quadrupled checked motherboard manual and trouble shooting and ensured RAM sticks are sat in right channel and compatible with MB.
Downloaded and updated the M.2 firmware using Corsair's SSD Toolbox.

What do you guys think the problem is? I have had few builds before this and this never happen to me, although this is my first AMD build.

Cheers!

Indeed it is, matches what the motherboard manual suggests.

Check your computer again make sure everything is correctly seated and wires pluged in nicely but if no one eles has any ideas would suggest sending ram back and replace it with another pair!. You can always download cpu=z to make sure ram is in dual mode and running correcly.

You can try disable XMP in bios

B. DRAM LED light is always ON after power on(indicates no Memory or Memory faulty):

1. Confirm that the memory is fully installed as shown in the below image. If it's not fully installled, please try to re-install it.

2. Check if there is any dirt on the memory Pin or memory slot of Motherboard as shown in the below images. If there is, please clean it and try again.

3. Please replace your DRAM with the one on Memory support list(QVL list)

You can refer to How to query Memory QVL list

4. Please refer to the suggested memory configurations found in the user manual of your model as shown in the below picture, then try again.

You can refer to download user manual

5. If you're using two or more memory, try to boot with only one memory installed, then reboot each time with an additional memory installed.

6. If your problem cannot be solved after following steps 1-5, please change the memory and try again

7. If above setups still cannot solve your problem, please reinstall CPU or change another CPU

Hey guys just an update useful for any other person who has similar issues:

Reached out to Corsair tech and they recommended to change the CMOS battery. Was sceptical but… it worked! Booting super quick within seconds looks like I got brand new sealed motherboard with a dud battery.

My only recommendation is check motherboard manual to make sure you doing it properly; like the obvious unplugging but also to leave it without battery for at least few minutes.

Hope this helps anyone else with similar issue!

Worth checking my last post here; you and I seemed to have similar issue. See if changing CMOS battery helps?
