Most signs point towards a gradual but dramatic price increase until other factors (Chinese DRAM) kick in to push quality in the wrong direction.

The Chinese ram production seems to consentrate slower speed ram (at first) so I Expect that speed of 2400 and so on ram will indeed come down a quite a lot. High speed memory... not so much or at least it will take quite a long time untill we see cheaper 3600 and above speed ram at lower price.
Reading about chinese ram manufacturing has shown that it is not too easy to make ram modules, as there Are some significant delays in there.
I personally hope that new smaller node ram modules can sustain the ram prices at desent levels, but yeah... from now on it does not look too good.
