I have 2 PC's one with Z170 chipset and the other with X99. The Z170's RAM is 2666MHz Dual Channel and X99's - 3200 Quad Channel. My question is why the Z170's RAM speed fluctuates by 2-3 MHz every second all the time and X99's RAM stays 3200 MHz almost 24/7, it doesn't move at all, seems very stable. It's the same story with CPU and North Bridge clocks - they also fluctuate on Z170 and stay very stable on X99.
