I have an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX mobo. Recently, the DRAM_LED has been a solid red colour, and the compute doesn't even reach a post screen. However, sometimes it doesn't go red and the PC boots, but it still shuts off after about 5 minutes. Could it be a RAM problem and a PSU problem at the same time? Sometimes to CPU_LED flashes red once and the PC shuts off, however that hasn't happened recently. I did have a bad habit of leaving it on in sleepmode during nights, so I could have damaged the components somehow. I've had problems in the past but I could always use this website's advice to fix it. This time, however, I have to personally reach out with you lovely people because I feel my case just doesn't fit on any previous questions. Thanks! :)

Solved. I messed around with the RAM, loosened screws on motherboard, re-applied thermal paste and resitted CPU. It didn't seem to work so I left it for a couple hours and I did not get the DRAM red led. To fix the black screen after windows logo on start-up, I updated BIOS and reinstalled windows, but what actually got it to work plugging in a HDMI cable along with the VGA, switched to HDMI on my monitor, used it for about 10 minutes (even though the quality was quite poor, but it worked) and then switched back to VGA and it worked. I have encountered no problems since Tuesday (About 5 days now).
