Drive d: is full but nothing is in drive d windows xp

Drive D is probably your recovery partition on the C drive, which has the letter D assigned to it. Nothing should be in it except MFG recovery "stuff", but there are unscrupulous APPS around that will write files to it. You could try a 3rd party APP to extend the partition (taking space from unallocated area of C drive) and hope that if you need the recovery partitionin the future, that this doesn't invalidate it. Go to your computer mfg site or search for their forum, if you want to ask them, how to handle the issue.
