Driver for ati radeon x1300 for windows 8

does anybody knows how to make ati radeon x1300 (laptop acer asire 5100) to work with windows 8? I am using 64 bit

Did you check AMD's website to see if they have Win 8 x64 drivers for their legacy cards? If they don't, then you're probably going to be out of luck.

some people using modified win vista/seven drivers to make their old radeon works on win 8. just google about it yourself.

I modified the driver of an installer with the characteristics of X1300-1500.
You can find it here: http://www.alaricvs.it/ATI_Radeon_X1300-1500.zip
First, though, you have to uninstall all existing display drivers.

it's a little bit complicated, but it can be done

First you have to find a windows Vista compatible driver for your card. If it's a desktop GPU just go on the amd-ati website, if it's a laptop card you have to go on the PC manifacturer website. If the manifacturer of your laptop doesn't support Vista just find another one that produce a model with the same screen and the same video card.

When you have the correct driver go here: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php
and download Mobility Modder Software (you have to run it on a windows XP, Vista or 7 machine, it doesn't work on win8). It will modify your driver and make it work under win8!!!

I solve this driver problem after 3h. Here is the solution for instaling Ati Radeon x1300 driver for Windows 8 32:
1. Download catalyst_8-31-100_vista32_rtm
2. Set for downloaded file(catalyst_8-31-100_vista32_rtm) the compatibility mode for Vista(simple, not Service pack 1 or 2)
3. Instal and enjoy!
