Can I download a new driver for my mitsumi 4x8 cdr which will give me 80 min recording instead of 76 min?

I'm afraid it does not depend on the drivers but on the hardware itself.

But you could try installing a firmware update, it could allow you to burn 80 min CD media.

If you don't know where to find it, please give us more data about your burner and I'll try to find the firmware.

This is the 4802TE drive from Mitsumi. I used to own it. Yes you can download the firmware to allow it to use 80 minute CDs at the mitsumi website, www.mitsumi.com.

My mitsumi is a cr4801 TE. Will the driver 4802TE work with mine? How do I go about downloading your driver? I will check the Mitsumi web site. Thanks

You must use the EXACT FIRMWARE FOR YOUR DRIVE. If you screw it and install other version, you will have a nice drink holder.
