I was installing Windows 7 on a friends SSD and then when I went back to my HDD (win 7) after installing and setting up his SSD and my mouse driver wasnt working (G400). I tried EVERY possible driver fix under the sun, the mouse works fine on my Win 8 HDD and the win 7 SSD.

I tried uninstalling all of the USB root hub things in device manager and now my mechanical keyboard gets all of the same errors and behaves exactly the same as the mouse did. Both are made by different manufacturers, both drivers are up to date, my system is up to date. Im at a complete loss on what to do! (I dont have any win 7 disks since the win 7 hdd was from a store bought computer.)

No, the problem was that windows 7 was corrupt and there was basically no way of fixing without some type of reinstall. Luckily, I could upgrade it to windows 8 which saved all of my data and programs, and got rid of all driver issues. Hope this helps any other people in the future!
