Hi all, I've recently rebuilt/reconfigured an old unit using parts from a few I've had laying around. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and happy with it. I use this as my fresh install for all my PC's when I nuke them and start over. don't really like 10. It's been awhile since I've done this and I wanted to know if there are any reputable driver search apps out there. I used INTEL's driver update utility and it says that my drivers are fine yet generic and perhaps my MB manufacturer has ones for my machine. It's an old Gateway I got from a friend that I added parts to. I want to be sure the USB and RAM/Chipset is functioning optimally. I'm kind of above average with my knowledge but not super advanced. I lost my job in software sales recently so this is going to be my rig until I can buy a new MB combo to replace what I have here. I'll attach a snippet .png of system info. Phoenix labs doesn't seem to have a direct download page of drivers. They take me to a page associated with them to purchase a driver tool. Thanks in advance for any advice! :) PS. Why is my available Physical memory less than what's installed? I have a Geforce GTX 1050 TI card installed if that helps :) Drivers in for that. Thanks

If you cannot find its drivers on the manufacturer's website but the generic ones are doing its job then don't worry about it.

As for your RAM, if the mobo has an integrated GPU it could be that your RAM is set to share 2-3GB of it to the iGPU, get into its BIOS and disable /reduce it to the minimal amount since you're now using a GTX 1050 Ti card.

If you are having difficulty finding the right driver, i strongly advise you to use the tool that automatically installs drivers for your Windows.

Refer to some useful software: Driver Booster, Free Driver Scout, DriverPack Solution, Snappy Driver Installer, Driver Talent. They work in Windows 8, 7, Vista, and XP. Windows 10

Guys, It didn't work. I have 3 options under chipset. DVMT (fixed or auto) I set it to Fixed. DVMT (fixed or manual) I set it to manual. I changed the allocation from 256 to 128 MB those are my only two options. The available RAM went from above at 5.82 to 6.57. How come it's not a full 8GB still? Thanks again for advice!
