Companies have more money for lawyers than you, and court and lawyers cost more than the PSU is worth so if they give you a problem you probably can't do much about it.
For EVGA you have to pay to ship it in for warranty service, and that alone is basically as much as the PSU cost to begin with, so even if you had a warranty I probably wouldn't use it.
Newegg is an online only retailer, so that doesn't really apply.Living in America ... here in Europe you just deliver the faulty part to the shop you bought it from and it's no longer your problem. Total cost is gasoline used to reach the shop and back. Sure it may take longer to get the item back even by few weeks, but its free.
