[SOLVED] Dual channel won't work

All dimms work individually.
All ram sticks work.
Bios uodate had no response.
CMOS cleared, no response.
By default dimms B1 and B2 work together in single channel.
By deactivating A1 and B1, A2 and B2 work together but only in single channel. Refuses to use a dual channel configuration.
Please help, i cannot get my ram sticks to work in dual channel..

Specs:
Mobo - Asus STRIX B250F gaming
CPU - Intel i7-7700
RAM - GSkill Trident Z RGB, 8Gb *2
GPU - GTX 1060, 6Gb

Was the RAM bought as a kit or 2 individual sticks?

so you have a matched pair of ram sticks yes/no
if there is any bios updates for your motherboard do them with just the bit of ram that works atm
to access the bios hammer the delete key before system boots up as soon powered on
have a fresh formatted FAT32 USB stick download the bios from motherboard manufacturer only stick the bios you just downloaded on the USB stick recommend at least 2 bios's even if old re-boot press the delete button repeatedly to get into your bios select system then update bios select usb device flash it leave it to do its thing then you should be good with your new bios
if done wrong will brick your motherboard

Not sure of ASUS but on Gigabyte you have a under Advanced memory settings things like memory optimization: AUTO, memory interleaving: AUTO etc.
I think that is what is wrong, somehow your bios settings are set up wrong. I think it should work otherwise.

Also, in windows how do you test if it single or dual channel?

Not sure of ASUS but on Gigabyte you have a under Advanced memory settings things like memory optimization: AUTO, memory interleaving: AUTO etc.
I think that is what is wrong, somehow your bios settings are set up wrong. I think it should work otherwise.

Also, in windows how do you test if it single or dual channel?

A big problem i have is i don't really touch the bios, i don't know how to set it up to permit dual channel if that is the problem .-.

i use Speccy and CPU-Z, both softwares tell me i'm at 16Gb single channel

As i stated in the description, they are an identical pair of RAM sticks. further mentioned in a comment, theyre a kit.
Thank you for a solution however i have explored that one with every bios update for my motherboard. i went through each one individually and i now sit on the most up-to-date bios

You need to go into your bios and set it up there if it doesn't work out of the box (mine did). Maybe read the manual, if you dont have it download the manual. It will be there, but generally it is probably something very easy and 10 second thing in the BIOS. Worth getting accustomed to, otherwise building your own PC (even a RAM change) can feel like a huge challenge. You can also probably just seach Youtube or google for "B250F gaming dual channel RAM bios settings".

I've read through the mobo manual many times; there is nothing that states specifc bios settings for RAM. Furthermore, upon googling every synonym of "B250F gaming dual channel RAM bios settings", there seems to be no resolution.

Issue turned out to be the CPU cooler was pressing too harshly on the CPU die. Upon reseating and making the screws finger-tip tight, dual channel now miraculously works. Hope my discovery helps anyone who encounters this also
