So it may not be the NV45 after all, but it may be the NV40 Rev.2

I'm so happy with my 9800 Pro that nVidia better make some magic with their new series- I loved my Ti4200, but even if I switch back to nVidia it won't be for at least two years.

I don't know. It has about the transistor count of an R9700 + and R9600, or close to an FX5800 + and FX5600 (or closer an FX5500), so it probably draws alot of power.

Perhaps the PCI-EX bridge doesn't like alot of juice flowing over the AGP slot, so they have to draw more power elsehwere. I don't know. If the bridge were an issue, then that would make sense because that removes one source of power from even the regular 130mil trany FX5950.

Yeah. All the power is coming from the same rail in the power supply, so why two molex connectors? There is no way the card is drawing too much power for a single wire.

Maybe different parts of the card need power? Whatever is going on, it's just weird.
