I'm building a computer that needs to have dual-screens and it's important to me that both screens run at full resolution (1920x1080). There will be no gaming involved.

I am looking to buy this card for it, EVGA GeForce GT 640:

With this card i'll be using both DVI ports connected to separate monitors.

Will there be any issues getting 1920x1080 on both monitors using this setup?

Do I even need the card? Will the motherboard's onboard chips and connections be able to handle the dual-monitors at the resolution I want?

ASRock LGA 1155 Intel Z77

Thanks

Solution
use onboard and dvi + hdmi (or +hdmi&hdmi to dvi converter). but the 640 would cope easily, as would a 610 if you can find one with 2x duallink dvi.

If you are connecting both by dvi, you will need the card as the onboard graphics only has 1 dvi port. The card will be able to handle it, and you'll probably get a nice display too.

yeah, what they said. literally any video card you can find that has the connections you need will EASILY handle general windows desktop duties/browsing the web/playing video

it's only when you add heavy rendering (like playing an intensive game) that you need more than the bargain basement $20/$30 cards

So If I did just use the onboard DVI & HDMI would it be able to give me both displays @ 1920x1080 like the dedicated card would? Thanks.
