My main display uses hdmi into my 1660 ti, and i recently got a new display using DVI into the same GPU. I run games on my display while running spotify, browser, or xbox app on my second. Ever since I got the new monitor, I have been experiencing game crashes in every game. Once i unplugged my second monitor, the crashes stopped. Could my second monitor be overloading my GPU? I would think browsers and such would not do this, but I don't really know.

If yes, could I plug in a GTX 660 (low end card) and use that for my second monitor or will that draw too much power from my 500w PSU? [EDIT] : my drivers are up to date and problem still persists

Thanks!

Blender, games, and anything 3D keep crashing. Had my PC for 1 and a half a year now. It started after I got my second monitor. Second monitor is connected to integrated graphics via vga into mobo. My pc fans are not loud nor do i feel it is overheating.

Specs
Core i3 8100
Ddr4 16 gb (2 8gb sticks)
GTX 1660 ti
500 w PSU
2tb hdd

it only happened if you have the 2nd monitor connected?
what the model of this 500w psu?
model of the motherboard?
Hey so I have ruled it is not my dual monitor nor my drivers. In task manager my GPU percent spikes to 100 before closing the game to the desktop. I assume my GPU is overheating.
