Hey,

So I have an issue where my monitors won’t stay how I set them up in windows after restart or just logging off…

So I have two of them on a 6970 and one on the on-board i5 3570k.

The two on the 6970 are clones of each other (one is a HDTV) so I want my two computer monitors to stay on the correct side, the main one is in the centre and the second one to the right.

I can set this up in windows and arrange the desktop to how I like it but as soon as I restart this all changes back to how windows likes it! The second monitor to the left of my main one…

My question is how do I let windows know that this just won’t do ha-ha it’s driving me crazy I’ve tried to uninstall both sets of drivers and used driver sweeper to no avail…

I’m stuck! Can anyone help?

Thanks guys!

David

The best way to do it is to setup profiles in AMD Control panel (formerly called CCC). Once you have the arrangements the way you want save them as a pre-set profile so if it does go out of sync again all you have to do is right click the AMD icon and choose to load your profile. I have to do this anytime I want to game. I have one profile that has all 4 of my monitors seperately, then another profile that combines 3 of them for gaming while leaving the 4th seperate.

Ok well I’m really not sure what to make of this but after I turned its back on this morning and plugged in the 3rd monitor to try again it works windows remembers my settings!

just another quick question do you think using something like DisplayFusion is worth it, and would it have any effect on proformance 3d/2d?

I have a i5 3570k @ 4Ghz with 16GB ram and a 6970
