Question Dual RAM not working

Hey guys

I'm struggling to get my dual channel RAM working and have no idea on what next steps to take.
when using a single stick (both work when using alone) the system boots normally but when booting the system with both sticks in dual channel all the fans start spinning as normally but the system doesn't even reach the BIOS
I tried booting with XMP off and on but to no avail
is this a hardware incompatibility or a faulty component

Specs

Motherboard: MSI B460M-A PRO LGA 1200 Intel Motherboard
(Supports Dual-Channel mode
Supports non-ECC, un-buffered memory
Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP))
CPU: Intel Core i3-10100F
RAM: KLEVV 8GB (2x 8GB) 2666MHz DDR4
BIOS: 7C88v1A(Latest)
Storage: WD SN750 SE 1TB NVMe + 500GBHDD + 1TB HDD (Runs off the NVMe)
PSU: KRATOS E1-600 600W
GPU: Currently, ASUS Phoenix GT 1030 2GB Overclocked Edition GDDR5( GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB GDDR6 strains the system)
Cooler: Chione M2-240R

(All were bought new as it is my first build)

Regarding memory sticks....

Check the motherboard's User Guide Manual.

Some motherboards require that the first physically installed RAM be placed in a specific slot - commonly DIMMA2.

If that does not apply or work then reset the system via the CMOS jumper and be sure to follow the procedure presented in the motherboard's User Guide Manual.

Also update your post to include full system hardware specs.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used).

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

GPU? Other installed/connected components and devices?

Use just one stick of ram and test each slot then repeat with the other stick.

Post a link to the ram you bought.

You've only got two DIMM sockets to play around with so that makes life simple.

Can you boot with a single DIMM in either socket, or just in one socket?

This will help to determine if both Integrated Memory Controllers on the CPU are connected to working DIMM sockets.

I suggest you check both DIMMs (one at a time) using MemTest86+ on a bootable USB memory stick.

This will rule out possible bad RAM.

So i've checked both the RAM sticks and they seem to be working but only in DIMM B1
Pc doesn't even boot up in A1 DIMM

could it be faulty or damaged

Forgot to mention that when ram is put in the a1 slot the easy debug , cpu and dram lights keep flashing, alternating

Fiddle with the cpu cooler clamp down pressure see if it makes a diff.
Good idea. Some motherboards flex when the cooler screws are tightened all the way down, potentially twisting the CPU socket and disconnecting pads on the underside of the CPU. Under extreme stress, you might even break some of the fine PCB tracks connecting the CPU socket to the DIMM socket, but it's unlikely.

Slacken off the CPU cooler screws by half a turn each, or a full turn (with the power disconnected) and see if the Easy Debug, CPU and Dram lights stop flashing. Check to see if the board is bending under the strain.

If the fault persists, swap the CPU for another or change the mobo (can get expensive). I can't tell at the moment which one is faulty. If either/both components can be returned, send them back.

I bought a second-hand motherboard on eBay and for some weeks, one of the two DIMM sockets and the Ethernet chip didn't work. Then they magically started working normally. No idea why.
