Someone needs to make a Mod using any one of the modern FPS engines just to hold us over! I would not mind replaying the same levels and playing a little PvP with the original... the engine just needs a refresh that's all!

This is honestly probably the mostover-hyped PC game yet...and if it DOES ever release...it'd better be DAMN good...freakin' Duke Nuke'em with Crysis graphics.

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come." (NIV, Mark 13:32-33)

No, I'm not a preacher, I just find it funny to compare DNF to the second coming of Jesus!

How many years between Fallout 2 and Fallout 3?

The world had supposedly "moved on", then the game was released and it won every award in site. Duke will deliver, oh yea of little faith...

Unless the next Duke Nukem headline involves, "Newest Duke Nukem title in stores, buy yours now!" Then I don't want to hear it. No updates, no proposed release dates, no speculation. Enough already. All the Duke Forever headlines are up there with politicians holding press conferences to tell us they are not going to run for office. I don't need to know that someone isn't doing something.

"Daikatana anyone????..."

GREAT game! Underrated just like Anachronox and Deus Ex!

I still have a PC Gamer with screen shots of DNF, it's just beyond the point of crazy, only 7 more years and my son will be the age I was when I played Duke Nukem 3D, so sad as I feel that day will come and go with no DNF.

Found scribbled on the wall in programming labs:
"The Duke is a lie"
"The Duke is a lie"
"The Duke is a lie"
"The Duke is a lie"
Fancy some cake in the meantime?

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]I just downloaded the new "polymer" hi-res pack for Duke Nukem 3D.405Mb of Dukeness, well worth playing again from scratch."Suck it down!"[/citation]

I found this too last night when I was looking for ways to play my old disk on my new machine I found something called eDuke32 and that texture pack and like seemingly a thousand other things I didn't know about.

Very fun :)

The last time I was jonesing for a new duke nukem I was rocking a pentium 133 (thats megahurts for you young pups) and my printer still had those pilot holes on the left and right I had to tear off for a normal sheet. I dont even think Win 95 had come out yet and I was using some windows/dos piece of crap OS. Although Clinton was president and I was still having lotsa sex..which was a good thing haha.

So yah...im over it too.

We should just call this "the vaporware that shall not be named" then burry it under some statue of horris in Egypt and have a secret sect guard it for all eternity.

this game should just go away and never come back. Its taken forever and Duke is old and in the geriatric facility living off his social security, which doesn't really amount to much as he hasn't done shit for the past 15 years anyways. He just sits in his padded room and drools. So give it up people it's never gonna happen.

[citation][nom]footsoldier[/nom]Give me 10 in-game screenshots, and at least 1 gameplay video so I will stop believing that this game takes forever to release.[/citation]
What, again? They did that with DNF before.

There's one person who took a 15 year old game and is now playing it again. That's the mark of a truely classic game, can you honestly tell me there is another game that sits in the collective subconsious of the gamer as much as Duke? I think not...

why do people want duke nukem with crysis or shit hot graphics... its because there are idiots that are complete graphic whores... duke nukem 3d wasnt about the graphics, it was his character, the level of interactivity plus the fact it was and still is a good fps...

the thing that dissapointed me was they game was never made as they kept going onto a new engine, therefore redoing it over and over....

the thing is even the earliest gameplay trailer showed (gameplay and not graphics you graphic whores) things other games couldnt touch, I reckon isntead of redoing the game on another engine just to make it look (meaning the graphics) ahead of its time, finish the game and make a new one with another engine and then you would have released multiple duke nukem games instead of nothing... and will continue to be nothing (or if it does become complete it will be a major dissapointment) as it has the curse of success from duke 3d and it will seem very unlikely that any new duke games will match up with the origional duke 3d, heck the duke games on ps1 and n64 were terrible so i know wont be dissapointed as it will be shit wrapped in shit...

oh well t least duke 3d can be played in a new hires and with 3d in place of 2d engine now, and there mods tons of new maps to play it with
