Dull Golden Spots on CPU?

Folk's need information regarding about CPU, please kindly check out the picture

As you can see i pointed out the dull golden spots with red circle on processor why dose it occur or happend & is it alright to use the processor with those dull golden spots no risk of Damage or anything like it ? The processor work's fine and flawlessly with out any problem. Please do acknowledge appreciate the reply mates

I'd hazard a guess at its minor heat damage, possibly due to uneven cooling, I wouldn't worry if the chip works fine its obviously not affected it to the point of pin failure

Why did you write on your CPU with red marker? LOL

Anywho... I had a Q6600 with the same thing on one of the corners and i think it was discoloration from my thumb hitting that spot. Needless to say, it worked fine for 2+ years overclocked from 2.4 to 3.6 with no issues at all on air cooling. I do not think you should have a problem.
