Question During laptops cleanup I accidentally hit my motherboard with screwdriver...

Yes, as the title says. I didn't disconnect the battery either. It created a small spark but nothing else and nothing smelled like burned or anything like that. Could someone help me out and tell what kind of problems this kind of event could cause to my laptop? Is there any way to check this out?

Anything from "no problem at all", to "total failure".

A spark, however, is generally not good.
Can't know until you turn it on.

The screwdriver hit around that area. Not sure what is the function of that part. Does anyone know?
