DVD Burner

I've no idea if this is the right place for this, but here goes.

I have an Athlon 2600+ on an ABit NF7-S motherboard with 1.25Gb of memory,
with a Radeon 9200 graphics card, running Windows XP Pro. Hard disk wise I
have a Maxtor 20Gb (5400 rpm) & Seagate 160Gb (7200 rpm).

My problem is with my DVD burner (which is according to Everest Home Edition
is a Behavior Tech Computer Corp. DVDRW). I can burn CDs no problem, but
the problem comes when I try to burn a DVD. The DVD is created
successfully, but is full of errors when I try to read it back.

Any ideas how can get my burner to actually burn DVDs or should I get a new
(& better) burner?

Thanks for any help.

Jonathan.

In general, BTC (Behavior Tech) drives are junk... among the
worst out there. Odds are your media isn't compatible...
"compatible" being used loosely. You can try slowing down
the burning if possible, upgrading the drives firmware
(again if possible), different media, or lastly, ditch the
BTC and get a drive known for better compatibility like an
NEC 3520.
