DVD rom locked in wrong region

Hi the pc teckies reading this --
Fixing a 3 year old pc xp home -- Had to do a complete reinstall.
He has a Toshiba sd-m1612 dvd-rom, which his kids
have locked to region 1 (USA) not 2 (UK etc).
Been on the Toshiba site, and it states once locked (i.e. after 5th region
change), its locked.
Question - any softwareI can use to flash it back to region 2 ??

Can't vouch for the software never used it but a quick search
