DVD rom to motherboard

Hi. I wanna connect my dvd-rom with my motherboard, but i dont have anithing on my motherboard to connect with it (expect for the power). I do have an IDE cable tho.
My dvd-rom: Super writemaster..
My motherboard: ASrock 970 extreme

If you DVD drive is an IDE, then you will have to buy a SATA to IDE bridge. A new DVD drive is probably not much more expensive.
