DVD_ROM reads data as audio track.

Both my burner and my 52x drives are reading CD-RW disks as audio data with Nero. Either that or the data is detected in Nero but, the disk is not seen in My Computer. I've upgraded the VIA bus driver, the system bios, tried to disable the DMA, all to no avail. I just upgraded the Windows ME partition of my dual boot system to IE 6.0 when the problem started. My burner doesn't burn CD-RW disks under the XP partition of my system probably, because it's unsupported. There is no problem with CD-R disks. I've heard there is a fix for this problem. Any help is appreciated.

I have had this problem as CD's start to fail, windows recongnizes them as music cd's. Maybe you got a dodgy batch of CD-R/RW's.
