DVI Port, Adaoter, or GPU that's broken?

I've been using a monitor which is VGA only, my gpu has no VGA Port so i'm using a DVI-VGA Adapter. I've been using this for 2 years with no issue until now

It just says "D-SUB, NO SIGNAL" on my monitor. If i reconnect the vga cable to the slot on my Mobo, it works fine. (but of course i can't get to use the dedicated GPU).

So my question is, how do i know if it's the dvi port (on the gpu), the adapter, or the gpu itself that's broken?

By testing it.
Connect (different) monitor with DVI input to your graphics card. If it works, then graphics card is ok (or also you can connect TV with HDMI cable).

I don't have any spare monitors or cables or computers :/
