dx 12 and old games

i am using dx 12 and gtx 1060 but old games like gta sa ,etc, not woking, and i still get this error

grand theft auto san andreas requires at least directx version 9.0

any advice?

You should install directX version 9.0 too for older games.

DX12 runs a version of DX9. He doesn't need to install any other version of DX.

You installed the drivers from Nvidia's website? System specs?

Yes i used nvidia experience to download the driver, and all games workfine, the issue only in old games

i7 7700k
gtx 1060 gaming x 6GB
16GB memory 3200Mhz
win 10 home 64

Since win7 you need to right click on .exe files and run as admin. Random pic of what I'm talking about I found online.

I've heard of games having issues if you fail to run the Install.exe file as admin as well.

the games already installed (steam )

but they still not working and asking for dx 8, 9

any advice please?

If you get an issue with a steam game it helps to look at the forums for that game if it doesn't run right. You probably aren't the first person with that issue and they are good about getting fixes up. If this doesn't solve the problem I'd keep looking on steam for the fix.
