I have a really old PC with 945g chipset motherboard. Currently I have E2140 Pentium Dual Core processor. I wanted whether E7200 is compatible with 945g chipset(not supported according to Intel website but somebody on amazon said yes) or not and if yes then which one will be better E6700 or E7200. Also will I see some performance improvement. I play Dota 2 and CSGO only.

Solution
Get the motherboard type first. CPU-Z might help with that.
Second, go on motherboard manufacturer website and look for support, CPU compatibility list.
You will find the fastest CPU that you can use on that motherboard.
The 7200 might run, might not run, E7200 is core2duo while e6700 is dual core pentium, different series so the E7200 might not run at all. Thing is those dual cores are weak and yet Dota2 and CSGO are built on the Source engine which is known to be the most CPU intensive engine out there. For reference CSGO pushes my Core2Quad Q9400 @ 3.6GHz to 80% usage on all cores, dota2 goes to 70%. So I'd say investing in this setup is a waste of money.

Thing is it is dirt cheap and i already get somewhere around 25-30 fps. Should I expect a performance increase?

Yeah I forgot, it probably costs $10 (found one for $12 here). When I upgraded from my E2140 Dual core (overclocked from 1.6 to 1.8ghz) to my Q9400 there was at least a double boost, so definitely you will see an upgrade. Depending on the GPU you might get up to 60 fps.
