I do too, and that they will fix the off-line play. One of the best games I've found to play WHILE NO INTERNET is available is SimCity (I have 3000, and 4 installed on my laptop).

The only thing he was passionate about was milking consumers with countless DLCs and idiotic DRM. EA has lost nothing of value. I don't expect the next CEO to be any better, it's all about money for EA.

Give SC4 multicore or better yet GPU computing support, better mod support, modernized graphics (SC4 doesn't support anti-aliasing), and fix the eternal commuter bug...

And you have a worthy SC game.

You guys are funny. Nearly anyone else in his position would have done the exact same thing. If he is the enemy you are all going to hate the future.

[citation][nom]Matt34533[/nom]Happy birthday to me! This is my best present of all, now maybe EA can cut the crap and start making quality games with minimal DRM again.[/citation]
[citation][nom]Memnarchon[/nom]Do we have Xmas today? At last some good news from the gaming industry!...[/citation]

HOW cant you see this as possibly the WORST thing to happen in gaming sense et?
once you get to a high position in a major company, YOU FAIL UP
you get better jobs and people still higher you even if you tank a company

with him free from ea he could INFECT ANY CURRENT PUBLISHER

Here's to some good news and that this may mean SimCity will get an offline player mode.

Now that EA's fired a CEO for making their "career" customers mad, let's hope Vivendi's board is watching and get's rid of Bobby Kotick over at ActiBlizz. Gamers could truly rejoice then.

[citation][nom]skit75[/nom]I remember playing D&D Forgotten realms on my 386. DRM at the time consisted of: Turn to page 17 of the manual and type the 4th word in the second paragraph.... Thank you for choosing our product.[/citation]

Or those puzzle wheels you had to do every so often to continue playing. We old.

I think you misunderstand. What game company is looking for a new CEO aside from EA? Realistically, Tim Cook, and Steve Balmer are the only other Technology software CEO that their companies "may" be int he market to replace, and I see this guy tanking either one of them.

Honestly, since EA saw that a football fan/gamer will buy the same crap every year as long as they change the title to "Madden 2014" and modify the names of players on the roster, they assumed all gamers were as intelligent as the tailgating Budweiser drinking redneck, and have treated all their IP's with the lowest common denominator as their target audience.

Honestly I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing until a replacement has been selected. Do you prefer the Devil you know, or the one you don't. I prefer the one I know, because at least we know what to expect....
