What benchmarks are you talking about? Everything I've read seems to indicate that the PS4's GPU is comparable (maybe slightly inferior) to an HD 7850.

That's miles better than the integrated graphics on an i3. The EA rep's statement is total BS, but let's not go too far the other way.

ya that is offensive the Xbox one and PS4 if what I read is right both use teck that's 1 or 2 years old already as far as PC's go
they are a MAJOR upgrade vs the old consoles but they are FAR from being 5 years more advanced then a good uptodate PC
let see them put a PC game like Wow on one of those consoles and compare its FPS to up to date pc I would bet a simple GTX 660 or even 650 would stomp it in to the ground ..... but then consoles are setup to run 30 fps (witch is 1/2 of what I want all the time)

Please don't use WOW as a benchmark, MMORPG use lower end graphcis than other games. You should say Crysis 3 or somethihng that really uses what the PC has to offer. I imagine that the new gen consoles will get some MMORPG games like the PC has but I fail to see how they are going to beat a gaming PC. Heck my cheap PC is not a hardcore gaming PC but I would not be too surprised if it did better than either console. I have less memory but a better videocard and I have a weak FX-4100 cpu but I can also upgrade my componets while a console can't. Maybe EA is just trying to secure the crown for worst company again.

I think he's probably referring to the Jaguar CPU, which was recently tested in the Kabini review:

You have to keep in mind that the APU in the PS4 and Xbox One use a dual module 8-core variant of Jaguar clocked at ~1.6 GHz, while the version of Kabini that was tested is a single module quad-core at 1.5 GHz with a considerably cut down GCN GPU.

*Reads title* BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
Seriously EA, that is absolute marketing bullshit.

Well that explains the SimCity launch. PCs just can handle EA's tech...and by tech i mean awful coding and failing to have enough server resources to allow a game to be played.

That's real cute EA, i'll believe you once I see real time path tracing being done on a console, but untill then, i'll stick with PC gaming. No amount of hacked together lighting can beat raytracing.
Also, I wouldn't trust this guy anyway, go talk to someone working at DICE or crytek, cevat yerli himself said that PC is always the way to go for the best experience.

EA keeping it classy to drum up more fans I see. Maybe he is talking about the dell desktops they use to come up with bull crap they have been feeding us for years, but how can you go wrong when your voted the worst company in the US?

I find anything from EA to be dubious in nature, at best. Clearly these systems are going to be great, but I'm HIGHLY skeptical about them being a "generation ahead" of anything other than current consoles.

Can we cut the tongues out of the people to preach this?
My 2600k @ 5.1Ghz,16GB DDR3 2200 and Sli GTX680s @1275Mhz will eat the XboxOne and PS4 for lunch under any benchmarks.
Seeing the new consoles are x86 itll be very soon before we see Windows 8 on them with 3dmark installed, then we can have a non retarted, blind eye remark like this removed.

EA sounds desperate as well they should be. Or, they dug up Steve Jobs and tuned into his apple mentality, overhype, lie and make things up, rinse and repeat until enough people are convinced to make the sale.

EA must be smoking some seriously crazy shit for the comments they've made over the last few weeks.
An FX-8000ish CPU, a 7790ish GPU, 8Gb shared RAM, 500 Gb harddrive, my 2 year old build is better than that!
