EA Responds to SimCity Complaints; Gamers Launch Non-DRM Petition

I hope they realise that once SimCity gets cracked (and it will be, DRM or not), it'll get pirated to kingdom come because of this. They may have had a strong initial sales period but now that people heard about the problems, they'll most likely hold out till it appears on the pirate bay. EA publish some great games that I love, but they need to start treating to their customers and the only way to get them to do that is to screw with their money.

I've looked all over the simcity site and don't see anything saying it need a always on internet connection.

I have had problems in the past with EA games but could always get a fix somehow, but this problem is impossible to fix. The one time I wish I had a hacker for a friend to fix this crap. I wanted a game to play while over sea's on deployment to Philippines to pass the time. I wasted the $60.00usd and have a dud game. I am glad I found this site, because I thought it was an isolated problem. I reminds me of "Obama Care" something that cannot be fixed. They have got all of you people plus my money and they need to fix it now or refund our funds!

The last EA title I purchased was Crysis 2, when it went on sale through Steam. I think I've learned the value of EA's software titles. They are more concerned with the mechanisms that control a game than the mechanisms that make those games worth playing. Maybe someday they'll turn over a new leaf, but until then, I don't even need to bat an eye at the announcement of a title being published by EA, as I know what baggage comes with it. Sad, but they did it to themselves.
