EA is now milking the BF series for everything it's worth. This is the new Modern Warfare. EA lost me as a customer after the whole simcity debacle. They already started to ruin the BF series with the premium BF3 crap.

Its funny how, when BF3 came out, everyone was saying how better BF3/EA is to CoD/Activi$on.
BF and EA is NOW just as bad as CoD and activision.

Is anyone else, totally and utterly sick to death of modern day military shooter bore fests? Sure, it was great in CoD4 but everything after was just a repeat of the same old stuff. Whats that? Russia wants to take over the world? and Americas going to save the day again?

I mean, where the hell has the creativity gone? oh wait, its still there in some dev teams but nearly all of them are now under greedy publishers like EA and Activi$on- Blizzard and Bioware anyone...

I'll be sticking with BF3, after paying for the game AND the maps, why would I pay through the teeth again for BF 3.5?

As for the single player I still haven't even touched BF3 single player, and probably never will. Its a multiplayer game.

Graphics and sound are better but the sniper/camper and hack coward noobs will ruin the game like they have BF3. Plus the game is still 7-8 months out, long time yet. At least its not a kiddie console port like 99% of other shooters.

The web-based game launcher in BF3 is buggy. Everything else about BF3 is cool. I always thought if you have a good shooter with good fundamentals, all you have to do is change the scenery to keep things fresh. This is what BF3 does well with all of its multi-player maps they've continued to add. On top of that, they've added some really cool game modes.

Also, regarding the BF4 video, we finally see a hint of China as the enemy. This seems like a more realistic rivalry than U.S./Russia.

You for real? The Chinese and American economy depend on each other.

The single player part of BF3/4 always like a "tech demo" to me - look beautiful but short and no replay value. I will not buy because of single play story. MP is always the main selling point for BF. BUT since BF3 and BF4 will probably never support user mods, and that will be a deal breaker for me as well. Why do i want to play a FPS that cannot have mod? Again, limited replay value or you milk dry by the developer.

The reason i still play a FPS call Killing Floor mainly because how awesome the mods people created. Even thought the game engine is very dated. Another example will be ArmA2, I play it regularly even with the awkward control and buggy. I still enjoy the game for long long time because it has endless map, mission and total conversion (like Day-Z) from the community. Crysis (1) is another good example....

Most countries' economies depend on China as they all like to exploit the cheap labor. They also take advantag of China's lack of labor, environmental, and manufacturing laws/constraints which they place on their own countries' manufacturers that add to production costs in their own countries.

This does not mean the two countries are not at odds when it comes to foreign policy or ideology.

The US has had nukes in turkey pointed at Russia since before the signing of the nuclear proliferation treaty and recent activity has opened some old wounds. China/US relations are particularly strained with N Korea, but they would not risk going to war.
All they said in the game trailer was "...our asset in China..." does not mean China is the enemy. Just like Homefront and the movie Red Dawn (who both considered China as the enemy), the more likely antagonist is N Korea as their is too much money not to make in China. Think about it, would EA risk losing their consumer base in China by depicting them as the enemy? How many people play the game in the DPRK? I'm sure their relatives in the south wouldn't mind...

True.

No ammo for first 1/4 of video then all of a sudden he has 165 rounds? And dude says while he looks out the window "Shoot its already daylight!" As if its not obvious by all the light shinning in lol ~ BTW, DO A FREAKING REMAKE OF 2142 EA!!!!!! The best BF game ever made!

Aimbots, and hacks ruined bf3; i could get past everything else, but a single person on a team running the hack, reveals the enemies location to your entire team.

I have almost considered playing shooters on console, which a few years ago would ahve been laughable.

Everytime the game went on sale the aimbots got worse; i just dont understand the mentality of these people.

Why play a skill based game, and cheat?

i kept a positive kd; it just ruins the game, even if the aimbotter is on my team.

I wish they would bring back true dedicated servers as well; not this nonsense approved host for 100/mo nonsense.

Most of us will call out the hacker if they are in the game. The whole collective votekick seems to work on servers without admins.

If I'm playing and a hacker is pulling off strings of single headshots all over the deathmatch map with their M443 without moving, I just leave the server if no admin or players kick that player.

Most of the time, the games seem to run without a problem and no hacking going on. It's always going to be possible, though with online games.

I'm not too familiar with console multi-player gaming but I know there are cheat code web sites for those games as well?

"While the footage we’ve been show does look good indeed, no information about the specifications for the system used to create the demo were given."

Most likely 360 or PS3...

If it was by almost any other company I'd consider checking this out. But EA has screwed me too many times and I've given up on them. Also, isn't BF3 only a year old and already has 4(?) expansions / DLC? How much is it to buy the whole game then? They also allow you to spend money to unlock all of the weapons that you otherwise have to actually spend time getting.

Every quarter they release an expansion that keeps the game fresh. You always had the option to buy the premium pack from the first expansion release. People that do like this game have easily played for hundreds of hours. It is worth it when you play it that much.

BF3 will be over 2 years old when BF4 comes out. It looks like the graphics in BF4 have been updated a little and the faces and environment are more detailed. I just hope Dice does details better than Crytek or we're all going to be out shopping for Titans.

Slight correction, thousands not hundreds.

Skeletal animations are updated quite a lot IMO, lots of new higher detailed models compared to BF3, it's obviously alpha version because water effects are almost 100% broken. When main char walks through basement of building only light effects move across water, which is actually not moving, later when team moves through broken building @ 10:40ish mark water splash makes their feet transparent. Heck I would say this is alpha version of Frostbite 3 not just of BF4. If other parts of graphics get improved as much as skeletal animation is, Cryengine 3 and Unreal 4 will be left in dust, but that's just a wild hope.

...And Dice will manage to do it with less resource demand.

Still screwed up the series. Had a great game and idea with BF2. Copied BC2 to make BF3, failed. Lost loads of fans and even had a resurgence of BF2 servers comeback online.

BF2 > BF3

jackfrags and levelcap were invited as well. personally, I have no problem with them inviting COD commentators (or at least, the non dickish ones like woody)

nope, it was on AMD's upcoming reference 7990.
