I have a piddly little Win 8.1 HP Stream Notebook but it keeps me happy.
The onboard C drive SSD is very limited, a few GB spare capacity, enough my Hibernate sys file can breathe.
It has a Micro-SD slot which I currently have an old 32 GB card in that by default becomes drive D. I have a few installed programs and games on it. I want to upgrade, probably to a SanDisk Ultra 128 GB MicroSDHC UHS-I which, having looked at the specs & looked on HP forums seems to be suitable.
My question is about transferring the data, including installed programs.
Is it as easy as:
Or will I need some kind of utility to transfer the data over so existing installs, regkeys, etc., will correctly identify the new 128 card?
I feel silly for asking such a trivial question but in Windows there are no trivial questions.
Thanks everyone.

Is it as easy as:
- Put the 128 card into a USB adapter
Plug adapter into a spare USB slot
Format it to NTFS if it's not already
Use Windows to copy all the directories & files over
Unmount the both cards
Withdraw the 32 card, slot the 128 card in
