Easy way to put Win2k on RAID?

I just got my ABIT VP6 mb and set up my system except that I have to keep reformatting my RAID array every time I shut off my computer because the boot info is striped over 2 hard drives and boot wants to read only one for all the information initially. Is there a way around ghosting from a separate HD (that I don't have)? And if there isn't, can anyone help me with exactly how to go about ghosting? I read the help files but still dont understand how to do it?

as far as ghosting, assuming you're using Ghost, is to start it up. Select your copy/ghost FROM drive. select your Copy to. Hit go.
As far a striping, I THINK there's a command that will disable the striping. check the manual or the web site of who built the raid. if that fails, disconnect the second drive and load win2k, then reconnect the second drive. I think.

Nooo wayyyy!!

I assume that this chap is using motherboard Raid 0 - striping.

Therefore his data is neatly striped across his HDs for performance.

Splitting the Raid will not be productive - at best you end up with file fragments on both disks at worst you end up with completely broken FS and start from scratch...

The raid is performed at h/w on the mobo - not sure if Win supports raid boot - usually you have mirrored (Raid 1) boot disks, with raid X (insert Raid of choice) data partition(s)....

Pete.
