It’s believed to be set in SkyRim, North of Oblivion and West of Morrowind. You either play as Lord Nerevar or a new character.

If you play as Nerevar, you go to SkyRim to resolve rebellion and to stop a civil war.

If you play as a new character, you can be a general of the rebellion or follow the Legion.

It will be using a new engine built from the ground up, for long draw distance, 60FPS, and allowing tons of enemies on screen at once. As the final battle, if you choose to lead your army to war, will have hundreds of people in a fight.

"they should just remake 2 with new technology"

Awesome idea, i love Daggerfall. I didn't like how morrowind didn't feel like any of the older ones at all, and it sorta kinda came back with Oblivion, but there were too many bad things about it. I love the D&D feel to Dagger and i love the massive world(makes teh quick travel understandible) i dont really care if the world is that bare, they did a pretty good job, and im sure they could do better now with the grfx they have. AND they compained about the NPC's not having unique enough character. In morro there were people saying the EXACT same thing every corner, and in Dagger, my fighters guild leader randomly accused me of stealing something, thats DEEP! Less worry about Grfx and more on gameplay pleeeease! before all games are forever ruined! The huge world and unlimited quests made it have unlimited replay value, im still playing it lol. And i love the idea of a random Dungeon generator, never go into the same dungeon twice. And they should have an item generator too, like...idk with magic. Because i found that I knew most of the items in morrowind and oblivion when i played thru it....and god did they get borring, i like morrowind better than oblivion in the long run tho. I like also how you had to have a notepad when playing Dagger, having a journal that recorded EVERYTHING would be impossible probably.

The only Elder Scrolls I ever played was Oblivion and that was on the Xbox 360. It was a great game, sure there were flaws/repetions so here's a list of what i'd like, feel free to say whatever about it, I dont care:

-Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: World at War were so fun b/c you got to lop off limbs and turn your enemies in blood and bone; call me sick or what have you, but that just makes it more realistic. I was tired of cutting someone with my custom-made Deadric Claymore that had a 15 foot radius fireball and just see them fall like a weightless ragdoll with only a small red scratch.
-The "Radiant AI" didn't seem to radiant. Sure they look at you when you come in, and they might say something but the repetitive conversations of a battle in Skyrim or an event in Morrowind got old. As did the NPC just sitting at the same inn table in the Imperial City eating the same apple
-I really like Fallout 3's physics system (im not a big system specs buff, so I dont know what it is). Where if I hit someone w/ a rocket they'd go flying, but if i shot them in the face with a .308 caliber bullet they'd fall (usually with their skull fragmented). In Oblivion it seemed that i'd hit someone w/ a sword and sometimes they would topple and other times they would get rocketed into the air
-On another note with the physics system, why have them go ragdoll when they are dead, why not when they are alive? Like if i shoot someone in the kneecap with an arrow I want to see them fall to their knees, or if i see them get shot in the throat with an arrow i want to see a puncture wound and a fountain of blood
-With the shooting/hacking of bodyparts: I want to see realistic damage (and a numeric health count, not a bar or a "hit-them-until-they-fall" indicator) If I slice your head open w/ an iron longsword and you dont have a helmet: you're supposed to die!
-When you become a leader of a guild, it get's really boring. I don't want a weekly allowance! I want action! And this can be for all of you Elder Scrolls multiplayer people: once you hit Grand Champion you can unlock an online feature where you can throw down against other Grand Champions in the arena, and if you play online xbox 360 games you may see "Specators" which are acutal people not on a team, they can be outside a special instanced online arena and bet on the fight. Bear with me i'm going to add: if im the Listener of the Black Hand every once in awhile it'd be great if i just butchered a whole bunch of people and sleep there then a Wraith of the Night Mother or Sithis will come and give me a special job (and not repetitive ones; such as going to kill a unique NPC under unqiue circumstances [usage of weapons, tactics, disguises, if the person hates/likes you, ect])
-I am tired of wanting to get gear and going into a Plane of Oblivion, Mine, Campsite, Fort, Ayelied Ruin or what have you and seeing the same layout. The oblivion planes came in like 5 or 6 distinct styles, the forts were in a few and the ruins too. But a random generator would be great: nothing too big, just like adding winding corridors or switching around the layout of mines, or in Oblivion having different landforms/bridges to go over, and different traps: fireball turrets, falling blades and spinning axes were okay but here's better...

TRAPS Suggestions:
-w/ the proper use of physics (and possibly having a mini-game added) possibly stepping into a snare and being flung up and you have to hit corresponding buttons to release yourself before your destroyed whilst dangling from the air
-The Oblivion traps that were my favorite were the mines, the fireball turrets got annoying and the spikes-out-of-the-wall and the falling blades were unorignal and ulitmately easy to avoid BORING, a daily demon forecast of raining fireballs or perhaps running into a random encounter of reinforcements coming in through a portal would be nice, a pressure plate causes a fireball that launches you into a lava pit would be funny
-campsites were so easy to destroy, espeically if you had chameleon w/ a large stealth and marksmanship skill. False camps/ambushes would be a fun way to mess your day up, as well as spiked pitfalls, IED's like a trip wire attached to candle falling into a large vat of kerosene which would ignite you

I could go on for days, all I know is that Bethesda said in an interview that they'd want to release it in 2010, but if I know major releases (especially w/ Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 they would put it in the third or final quarter so they can push it back still in time for some holiday season in case they didnt finish it)

well no matter what bethesda should have plenty of resources and has probably already begun to work on the elder scrolls 5. they apparently release an elder scrolls game apporximatley every 5 years. daggerfall in 1996, morrowind in 2001, and oblivion in 2006. so i would guess that the next one will come out in 2011 or 2012. more than likely on the next gen xbox console. they have also begun to work on the next fallout game already so it may slow them down even more. but the elder scrolls games are much better than the fallout series so they should devote most of their time towards tes 5.

i have heard that bethesda has been working on TES5for a while and that it will be a mmo but the better thing is that they are gonna make it that u and 2 other friends can go though out the world together. and yes it should becoming out in 2010 thats all i heard along with some new magic and ability to use spears from morrowind. :hello:

Wow...there is so much conflicting information and heresay its as if I am reading about a Bigfoot sighting.

Now i have to start looking into this. Bethesda and Boiware have always been the old faithful gaming companies to me.

i want the next elder scrolls now!!!!!!! f fallout i want fantisy swords bows axes the best game eva! i dont go on here if any one knows for shur please tell me on face book im noah van barriger my pic is me in a suit wit a cigar please!!!!!!!!!!! now i want it and i want the next elder scrolls to be more like morrowind

i want to know when da next elder scrolls comes out so tell me iv herd its in the nord place

Don't worry, the next Elder Scrolls will look like you're playing Lord of the Rings on BlueRay.. At leat that's where I think graphics will be in the next ~10 years.. 😛

I'm not sure there will be an Elder Scrolls V. Rumors are flying about an Elder Scrolls MMO, it seems Bethesda wants a piece of that WoW goldmine. I would much rather have Elder Scrolls V than a stupid MMO. :fou:

Im glad that im not the only one who thinks that a MMO ES would suck so hardcore, btw good luck gettin wow players of wow :non: , and ur forgetting about the platforms ur cutting 2/3 of ur sales by making it an mmo. i want new graphics with a morrowind story and obivion fighting but more advanced of course. i suppose it wont come tell 2012/2013 if they even make it. and of course fallout 3 bood and gore but not as gory because it would seem out of place. maybe a dragon or 2? and maybe an option to make a machinima on xbox 360. maybe a more advanced obect movement like when you place something down and you want to do it in a certain way.... just my thoughts

oh and fallout new vegas comes out this fall so maybe theyre postponing it

Well, everyone is spamming MMOs thanks to WoW and their greed (a monthly subscription looks a whole lot nicer than a single $50 payment). Unfortunately, they didn't realize you actually have to make a good game first. Same Case with Knights of the Old Republic, and although I've heard it may be decent (for an MMO) TOR sure isn't a replacement for KOTOR3 in my opinion. Unfortunately, game developers have given up interest in making games with any Risk. Back in the day, when games were relatively short to make, you saw tons of wacky and inventive games. Now, when games take years and lots of money to make, nobody wants to release anything "outside the box" in fear of it failing (and them going out of business).
