The only Elder Scrolls I ever played was Oblivion and that was on the Xbox 360. It was a great game, sure there were flaws/repetions so here's a list of what i'd like, feel free to say whatever about it, I dont care:
-Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: World at War were so fun b/c you got to lop off limbs and turn your enemies in blood and bone; call me sick or what have you, but that just makes it more realistic. I was tired of cutting someone with my custom-made Deadric Claymore that had a 15 foot radius fireball and just see them fall like a weightless ragdoll with only a small red scratch.
-The "Radiant AI" didn't seem to radiant. Sure they look at you when you come in, and they might say something but the repetitive conversations of a battle in Skyrim or an event in Morrowind got old. As did the NPC just sitting at the same inn table in the Imperial City eating the same apple
-I really like Fallout 3's physics system (im not a big system specs buff, so I dont know what it is). Where if I hit someone w/ a rocket they'd go flying, but if i shot them in the face with a .308 caliber bullet they'd fall (usually with their skull fragmented). In Oblivion it seemed that i'd hit someone w/ a sword and sometimes they would topple and other times they would get rocketed into the air
-On another note with the physics system, why have them go ragdoll when they are dead, why not when they are alive? Like if i shoot someone in the kneecap with an arrow I want to see them fall to their knees, or if i see them get shot in the throat with an arrow i want to see a puncture wound and a fountain of blood
-With the shooting/hacking of bodyparts: I want to see realistic damage (and a numeric health count, not a bar or a "hit-them-until-they-fall" indicator) If I slice your head open w/ an iron longsword and you dont have a helmet: you're supposed to die!
-When you become a leader of a guild, it get's really boring. I don't want a weekly allowance! I want action! And this can be for all of you Elder Scrolls multiplayer people: once you hit Grand Champion you can unlock an online feature where you can throw down against other Grand Champions in the arena, and if you play online xbox 360 games you may see "Specators" which are acutal people not on a team, they can be outside a special instanced online arena and bet on the fight. Bear with me i'm going to add: if im the Listener of the Black Hand every once in awhile it'd be great if i just butchered a whole bunch of people and sleep there then a Wraith of the Night Mother or Sithis will come and give me a special job (and not repetitive ones; such as going to kill a unique NPC under unqiue circumstances [usage of weapons, tactics, disguises, if the person hates/likes you, ect])
-I am tired of wanting to get gear and going into a Plane of Oblivion, Mine, Campsite, Fort, Ayelied Ruin or what have you and seeing the same layout. The oblivion planes came in like 5 or 6 distinct styles, the forts were in a few and the ruins too. But a random generator would be great: nothing too big, just like adding winding corridors or switching around the layout of mines, or in Oblivion having different landforms/bridges to go over, and different traps: fireball turrets, falling blades and spinning axes were okay but here's better...
TRAPS Suggestions:
-w/ the proper use of physics (and possibly having a mini-game added) possibly stepping into a snare and being flung up and you have to hit corresponding buttons to release yourself before your destroyed whilst dangling from the air
-The Oblivion traps that were my favorite were the mines, the fireball turrets got annoying and the spikes-out-of-the-wall and the falling blades were unorignal and ulitmately easy to avoid BORING, a daily demon forecast of raining fireballs or perhaps running into a random encounter of reinforcements coming in through a portal would be nice, a pressure plate causes a fireball that launches you into a lava pit would be funny
-campsites were so easy to destroy, espeically if you had chameleon w/ a large stealth and marksmanship skill. False camps/ambushes would be a fun way to mess your day up, as well as spiked pitfalls, IED's like a trip wire attached to candle falling into a large vat of kerosene which would ignite you
I could go on for days, all I know is that Bethesda said in an interview that they'd want to release it in 2010, but if I know major releases (especially w/ Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 they would put it in the third or final quarter so they can push it back still in time for some holiday season in case they didnt finish it)
