So some of you might heard about IKEA Markus Static killing displays, what's happening to me though, is that the Markus is killing my PC. If I stand up in a weird way that causes an electrostatic discharge my PC dies, (GPU goes out first, I assume, as I can sometimes still hear audio that's playing).

Now initially after reading online I assumed this might be some sort of grounding problem, I checked my outlets, my pc, but everything grounded properly. So now I don't know what I can do about it.
For reference my pc case is a loque ghost s1.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be thankful.

As the article you reference clearly indicates: "The answer is to ground the chair however is most practical to your workspace. That might mean connecting a part of the chair to an earth/ground source (plug, metal radiator, TV antenna, etc), whatever is most convenient."

I dismissed this with the idea that the fabric is what's causing the static buildup so hooking this up would possibly not help much. But I'll guess I try it, doesn't hurt.
