This is my First water cooling build and modding of a case. Thanks to Water cooling sticky's in this form and help from overclock.net as well i was able to find the right parts for the job. Thanks everyone that helped answer any questions i had! I had a oring leak on one of the dual rotary 90 fittings so i am waiting for a replacement to come in. I have not bothered to get air out as i am going to have to drain it again some time this week. Here are some pictures of how it is so far. if you have any suggestions please let me know i would love to change/add more!

Thanks for all the comment!! =D Only thing that bothers me is the motherboard ( blue ) tried taking the heat sinks off all though there held in by 1 way plastic pins. i tried to remove them but dont want to ruin the pin and screw myself so left it the way it was. Asus cant seem to supply more so dont want to ruin a board just because its not black lol. Thanks again rubix for all your help with my questions a few months back really helped out bit time!! Yea rubix i initially planned on doing this water cooling setup on my new system ( ivy with kelper sli ) which is why i had so much pump. was planning on SLI 680gtx with 2x 360mm rads. figured i better be safe but ended up putting everything in my old build. I will update the build log once i finish sleeving all my cables, replace the leaking 90, phobia temp sensor and actually have the computer hooked up. Thanks again for all the comment!! =D and again any suggestions please let me know id love to add more!!
 

About the Blue heat sinks on the MOBO perhaps just tape off with painters tape the whole MOBO and leave just the heat sinks exposed for spray paint it would not be to hard to do.
 
Yea its not a bad idea!! i might try it out when i go to replace a few of the fittings and am forced to drain the loop.

I had a question, ive been seeing people mentioning that D5 pumps have a much higher life expectancy then DDC is this a true fact of just some people's opinions ?
 

I just remembered perhaps if you want to spend a few more bucks maybe see if you can get some chip set water blocks and add them to your loop instead of painting the air cooled heatsinks. About the pumps I am not to sure I have never done any water cooling all I know is that XSPC is what I would use for water cooling if i did it.
 
Haha yea there a few cables visible right now. i haven't started sleeving or doing any cable management yet want to make sure everything works before i start organizing cables. Thanks for all the feedback =D
 


hay that system really looks nice. reminds me of my first build kind of small but everything was really tight, plus I painted the blocks with glow paint. here is the issue I ran into, whenever I wanted to upgrade the system or replace something, I had to really clean everything because liquid would get on my computer parts ( I used air cans and alcohol to clean up the mess on my parts ) this process took forever sometimes two days to come plenty clean up. so today I make all of my tubing strips 18in to 24in in length. so that if I need to replace a compression fitting, or even add more to the loop, I can do it without getting everything wet, or having to remove everything before breaking the loop. now like I have stated before standard tubing sucks, not right off but, after about two years, it gets hard and the tubing will crack / split somewhere. I was lucky, I had a mpc 655 pump and it split open on the outlet side or top of my pump. none of my hardware was damaged but it really gave me something to thank about. so I upgraded to anti-kink tubing (only lasted 5 years before the same happened to them ) today I use chemical resistant tubing six years going no issues yet.
 
of course I did, but I couldn't gat all the liquid out of the system. not to mention that it only takes one drop in the wrong place to hurt a component. I not saying that this is the only answer but it seems to be the easiest to implement, and it made my life easier. hay I'm lazy, I don't like to work if I don't have to, so any chance that I get to create to lower time consumption of a job, is a plus in my book.
 
I have a drain line off the back of the T off the pump. And i have 2x 360RX one in front one at the top. As for upgrading i have just put it to together so i guess i will be running into that issue in a year or two here. All though i do plan to replace all the tubing within that time any how. Every 2 years probably replace tubing with loop draining every 6 - 8 months.
 
exactly, it doesn't have to be a chore, just something that is known in the back of your mind. I like water cooling it is a lot of fun for me gives my me something to ponder over and tweak on. in the end I chose ease over looks but I believe that a good combination of the two is possible, with a little for thought put into it. I took two years of chemistry, and that is why I use wetter water as a additive in the system. it prevents cerotic corrosion from occurring as well.by the way do you have a way to see the water flow EX: some kind of flow meter that has a window with propeller. this cheep upgrade will allow to know when your pump starts to go,the pump will slow down usually, before it stops completely, this can save your processor from frying especially if its o-clocked
 
yea the only thing i don't have at the moment is a pressure gauge i have a sort of flow meter but not giving me my actually lpm but i have my silver coil in my vertical tube from my pump to the first rad so i can tell if the pump is pumping if the silver coil is at the top or at the bottom if there is no flow. thanks for the suggestions though! this is my first build i found it super fun and look forward to my next build in the future.

Just curious is there a advantage to having a readout flow meter then one the just lets you know its flowing ?
